Sumi Sastri, founder and principal consultant is a digital business development professional who has worked for The Economist and The McGraw-Hill Group of companies in global leadership positions. She was a financial correspondent with Dow Jones Inc. working on the first pay-to-view sites wsj.com and dowpower.com. Her work has been published and broadcast by Dow Jones Newswires, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, BBC Radio. She is an award winning journalist and copywriter, starting her career in brand marketing with BBDO & JWT.
In 2011 she worked on a 7-month project with Hearst Magazines (UK) to launch their consumer titles on the Apple Newsstand as part of the Apple IOS5 launch. She worked on the pricing policy, revenue projection, business case presentation and App development for the i-pad 2 and i-phone 4S. The global launch resulted in over 7-million App downloads for the Hearst titles within the first 12 weeks of the launch - the result of a concerted marketing effort with the Pixelmags the developers, the Apple PR team and the Hearst design and marketing teams.
Joe Vasu, creative director is a digital designer, photographer and web designer who has worked with Saatchi & Saatchi and is the founder of The Creative Lounge.
